Well... after calling me a chicken, Jon handed me the keys and dared me to sit in the drivers seat, play with the pedals and turn the car on.

So i did.

I held the clutch down, gave a little acceleration, and started the car. Jon told me to ease off the clutch, and i did about as slowly as i could.

Heres where i'll take a break in the story to give the setting - Jon parks his little red charade on the front lawn which is a strip about 4 metres wide by about 7 long, with the front yard tap halfway between the house and the fence on the non drive way side of the lawn. Here is where our little adventure took place.

The car moved forward, towards the tap and i saw water everywhere for a second before thinking I'm gonna hit it, so i took my feet off everything thinking one thing and one thing only - BRAKE! so i hit the brakes and the poor car stalled, and i collapsed on the steering wheel in a hysterical fit of laughter.

Well, with the most embarrassing part over and done with, i managed to drive a metre or so forward, and then Jon was like, "Okay, heres how you change gear, now reverse it" So i took it back a metre.

I drove a car!! sure, only two metres, but hey, you gotta start some where!

There are so many words in each language to describe things. In a way i make a game out it with my own words. they have been called 'deep' and 'striking'. On the other hand, about a hundred of these words fly through my head when ever i see a truly amazing awe inspiring.

Alex is a wonderful photographer, but he has the knack and habit of being in the right place at the right time, with his camera handy.

Simplicity tends to capture my mind, but nature is the true way to my soul.

The most amazing thing in my home, on my property is not my jewelry, or my pictures, but the huge towering gum tree at the very back of the yard, home to many birds and bugs, shelter from teh dun to the small tree that is growing beside it, currently covered in purewhite blossoms with the faintest trail of pink around the inside of the petals.

And the other Beauty of the household is, of course, my baby, Ogma, who is nearly one now. He has such a delicately framed body, so lithe and flexible, reminds me of a dancer, so light, so strong, so sure. enourmous round yellow eyes, and the triangular siamese head, black as night and always well groomed. I love my Cat.
